The Easter Story

The Easter story is at the heart of Christianity. On Good Friday, Jesus Christ was nailed to a cross and crucified. His body was taken down from the cross and buried in a tomb. Three days later, and for days afterward, Jesus himself was seen alive by many people. His followers realized that God had raised Jesus from the dead.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” Matthew 28:5-6. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” John 11:25-26. He is risen indeed, Hallelujah!
