Walking and Talking with Jesus
The Metro D.C. area is expected to receive 2,500 Afghan refugees during the first resettlement phase. Fort Lee in Petersburg and Quantico will be temporarily housing many, then moving families to Dale City, Fairfax County and Hyattsville. There are both SIV (Special Immigrant Visa) refugees and humanitarian evacuees included in this phase. Translators and counselors are needed. Salaam Isa is working closely with churches in the area to provide cross-cultural training and assist with helping families set up new households. There is much need. Contact Salaam Isa if you would like to get involved. Go to our “Upcoming Events” page for further information.
